The Communicator’s Conference will be held at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort in Clearwater, Florida (1160 Gulf Boulevard, Clearwater Beach, Florida). Meeting information can be downloaded at this link.
We have a block of rooms reserved at a rate of $140 per night, plus tax (13 percent), for a standard room, single and double occupancy (triple and quad rates are $150 and $160). The rates are available three days prior to and after our reservation dates (Oct. 31-Nov. 1). We have until 5 p.m. Oct. 1 to register and receive that rate.
To reserve a room, call the reservation department at 727-595-1611 and identify yourself as part of the NAUMFC November 2018 Meeting coordinated by the Florida United Methodist Foundation. Give the reservation agent the reservation code NJ28AB. Reservation requests may also be faxed to 727-596-1117. One night’s deposit is required at the time of reservation.
The two closest airports are Tampa International Airport and St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport, which basically just flies Allegiant, so the Tampa airport is probably going to be the best option for most people. It takes about 45 minutes to get to the hotel from the Tampa airport. The hotel does not have a shuttle to and from the airport, but there are shuttle services at the airport, and of course, renting a car is always an option.
